Basic design principles will improve the look and consumption of information you share with others. Understanding these concepts will help you share messages more effectively and improve the aesthetic on work you produce including reports, posters, worksheets, advertisements and social posts.

Completing this module will give students the confidence to present their work in a manner that follows good design principles and the vocabulary to describe good and bad design in practice. Learning Outcomes
After completing this WBLT, the user should be able to:
- Identify and understand basic graphic design principles.
- Identify good use of composition, colour, typography and images.
- Identify differences in digital image and graphic files.
- Understand how tone is developed through the application of design principles.
- Understand how good design communicates message and tells a story.
- Create a personal digital style guide that demonstrates an understanding of good design principles.
